Oxbow Urban Kitchen

We had our office Christmas party at Oxbow for the 3rd year and as always, it was amazing! This year was the smoothest planning of our party yet, thanks to Marylee and Chef Alex! Marylee was very prompt with answering all my questions while organizing our party and added wooden drink tokens that were a fun replacement for paper drink tickets! The appetizers, dinner, and dessert were delicious ! The drinks mixed by Erin were perfection! Thank you to Anna, Marylee and Erin for taking care of our needs at the party! We rented the top floor and it was so cute and festive for Christmas!! Looking forward to next year!

The Oxbow is an amazing small town fine dining establishment with an upscale city atmosphere. Whether it’s a chill Wednesday night burger and beer or it’s a fancy Saturday night special date night with premium aged beef and all the fixins, this is your spot. The bar is totally legit with fantasticly delightful cocktails and badass top shelf bourbon options. Shout out to all the bar staff and bar backs- keep up the great work! Please keep the rotating local beers and whiskey. ( we are not a tequila and cheap draft beer bar- for those of you that are newer) Please bring back our local craft rotating beers and whiskey/ bourbons. The dinner menu is tastefully thoughtful and seasonal with complementary dishes that represent the absolute best of the Northwest. My husband and I have supported Chef Alex and his Exceptional Staff since opening day. What really sets the Oxbow apart from other places is the staff- you know who I’m talking about! Yes you might need reservations at times. Yes you might need to wait. Yes things sell out or are no longer available some evening. This is what a true real-food dining experience is- for those of you that give bad ratings due to that, just move on. And to those of you now curious for exquisite representation and endless efforts toward a spectacular Sumner dining experience, see you there! Oxbow Urban Kitchen is absolutely amazing. I had one of the best burgers I’ve ever tasted, followed by a delicious caramel sundae for dessert. The service was outstanding—our server, Abby F., was phenomenal and even made me a delicious pumpkin spritzer. The entire staff was attentive, friendly, and welcoming, which really added to the experience. Overall, the vibe was great, and I honestly don’t understand the low reviews—this place exceeded my expectations. I’ll definitely be returning soon!

We started off with prawns cocktail and bowl of clam chowder. Six extra large prawns with cocktail sauce and fennel herbs. Chowder was excellent and had clams in the shell mixed in. Main course I had the ribeye, cracked, and asparagus, truly awesome. Anna was our server that took wonderful care of us. The tone and ambience of our experience was first class. My first time here (I'm a regular at their sister restaurant, Toscano's) and I will definitely be back. Highly recommend for any occasion.

Oxbow hosted our company holiday party this year! The food was fantastic and service was effective without getting in the way. Marylee was very professional and communicative in organizing the event with us. On a personal note, Erin makes a fabulous Shirley Temple, if you want something tasty but need to drive later. Thank you Oxbow!

Love the food, especially the wedge salad and fish and chips! Excellent! Also loved the wine, and the atmosphere was great — especially during happy hour. Challenge-seating on deck. Despite numerous times to enjoy the deck they said again today it was reserved. A few tables looked free but they said others had reservations yet when here no one showed… Disappointed not being able to sit where I wanted but something to keep in mind for next time. Great tartar sauce!

Really great service staff. Extremely polite and warm. Smaller dining area with not a lot of tables in the bar area. Was impressed with quality of food. I have the Denver steak and the hubs had salmon. Both were cooked perfectly and sides were tasty. Average portion size.

We visited this restaurant for the first time and were absolutely delighted. The atmosphere is cozy, the music is pleasant, and the staff is very attentive we were greeted with a smile and seated right away. The food was excellent: everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and truly delicious. The steaks were especially impressive perfectly cooked and juicy. The desserts also deserve a special mention; the tiramisu was amazing. The prices are reasonable for the quality and service you get. We’ll definitely be coming back!
